    #1402124 - 03/23/03 04:15 AM (21 years, 8 months ago)

What gourmet shroom can be grown and fruit indoor with no temp. changes needed?? I'd love to have some other than oyster-type shroom, u know, with long stems... and easy to grow... thanx!

I had good luck with shiitake, but you would need a way to prepare sawdust.

If you're looking for straw fruiters, maybe c. comatus? i don't know.

A. Bisporus. You could use a garbage bag as a terrarium. 60 degree temp is ideal for fruiting, and it could get that temp indoors at nite at least. you could fruit other kinds of gourmet mushrooms, but I won't say becuase I only have experience with A. Bisporus.
