So ive had a cake that is about 3 months old atm and shes produiced some amazing fruits big as my palm and beautifull but, after the 4 th flush (i would guess) she started produicing alot of aborts. A few would pop up and blacken and die within 3 days. I realized that therehad to. E some life in her otherwise it wouldnt of pinned and started caping befor dieing ( or so i assumed) i wondered what i could do to push the last bit of life from her being as it was my best cake i ever had. I then remembered that someone had told me that potatoe starch can give added nutes to ur cakes! I then took a grater and shreded a potatoe tool the shreds and squeezed the liquid out of them into a bowl. I let it sit untill colored ( airiated) and put it into a small saucepan then added the exact same ammount of starile water and boiled the crap outof it untill it was gret and goooe like elmers glue but the greyish color. Allowed it to cool covered and then i cut 2 q-tips in half and soaked the cotton ends in the potatoe goo for about hf an hour. I proceded to stab tje q-tips cottengoo side into the top and sides of my cake. ( if you have a seringe that would be great u can just inject the potatoe goo). To my amazment the next morning i had 5 babies popimg up from the rubble cake! Its bin over 3 days and they are growing and thriving suprizimgly well!!!! I domt know if this has bin done before but its a really good cake reviver!

Interesting concept.
Anyone else have opinions on whether or not this would work on a consistent basis?

agree i dont see hte point in this, but since you're experimenting..you should of just soaked your cake in your 'goo' for few hours, then replaced into fruiting since you wanted to experiment.

From what ive experienced is actully working well. And why not try to revive a sad cake? If it fruitfull( literly) why not? If it fails i dont loose a substantual cake. As for dunking it? It could get hella messy and idk what it coild possably do to the pins 0.o ill see how ot goes and mayb experiment on the next

Dunking doesn't hurt pins. Spreading boiled potatoes on them might. Old cakes are old, toss them.
