So I know Chinacat is everyone's hero here but...
    #14018686 - 02/24/11 08:12 AM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Am I the only one who thins his stories (perhaps not all) are fabricated in a lot of ways?  I don't know call me skeptical but I just can't believe these stories without any shred of evidence other than his word.  Especially when he talks about getting thumbprinted which is his biggest claim to fame.  I personally believe he was probably a really hardcore Grateful Dead hippie back in the day and is just wholly exaggerating his past.  Don't get me wrong I think he's a great story teller, but that's another reason to believe he fabricated a lot of his stories.  Am I the only one who feels this way?

We have no reason to believe that you don't believe his stories, other than your word!

:cop:

Kidding, but really, what evidence is he supposed to give that wouldn't be highly incriminating considering his past posts?

It's always nice to remain skeptical, but solely relying on skepticism alone usually makes a person look like a close-minded fool.

I think skepticism is great when joined with open-minded imagination.

It's all about balance IMO.

feels balanced man.

No I think his stories had enough specific descriptors to indicate that his stories were not a fabrication. I don't think he'd have any reason to lie to us, his life is probably interesting enough for him to not make stuff up about himself to inflate his ego or whatever.

I don't think he had/has any reason to lie about shit like that. it all seemed perfectly believable to me, I think we should feel lucky that we (supposedly) have some insight into what went on behind the scenes in cases like that

now, if we had an old chemist posting on the boards... THAT would be cool

Okay this is ridiculous
:seriousbusiness:

What Nordique, you want internet fame so you do (or don't do) something ridiculous like lemon tek an ounce of shrooms? Idk if I believe Chinacat's thumbprint either but come on...this is the internet and it's :picdidnthappen: so you would think since you had PLENTY OF TIME you wouldda got us some proof.
Otherwise it's just a cool story, and good for you if you actually did it, but you feel like you deserve some sort of shroomery recognition which probably isn't gonna happen...at least not until you get some pics...and even then...who gives a fuck?
I don't.
