Ok, I will have two or three nice ares that I can work with and experiment with this year, i missed out on the last year, and perhaps the one before, because i kept feeling like i could add more to the the soil, and that it wasn't complete and I only had oone chance! I just let a cr(o)(a)p go after they sprouted. This made me aware of some level of care i was previously unaware of. I was under the impression that once they sprouted they pretty much grew themselves unless they were choked out by some competition... this soil was prepped like you would any soil you didnt want to put too much cash into, simply turned over with some steer compost mixed in... Now these little sprouts didnt make it, even with hospitable soil. It was as if they knew that i wasnt happy with their home soil and planned to kill them all add more nutes and start over.  Its wierd, its like they knew and willed themselves to die..

SO dont let this HAPPEN!! They should be ok in broken up turned over soil with a little manure or, coffee grounds, heck, its best to get somethin than nothing. With poppies though, the more work you put in the more you get our,However, luckily THE BIGGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT  difference can be noticed by simply breaking up your soil, and making it softer. this is basically all you need to do to get some. But as Ive come to learn, it seems like they really like there nuts, and despite having never had any signs of nute deficiancies, they just eat up whatever us given t them and get significantly bigger wo any signs of nute problesm. So Im just wondering how far we can push them up?! These plants havent got the attention or reasearch like pot has which has allowed us to know exactly how to grow our planst abnd how hard t push them for maximum returns..

my goal is that maybe we can start workin together and sharing our results and experieces with others,. With the goal of fine tuning our poppy cultivation and figuring out what exactly it is they like to grow, how the taliban grows them bomb pods of evil goodnes :tee:

Basically, how far can we push this plant, and what does it like best?? We got to crack this bitch. I made it an official thread so people canpots ther results from year to year and calculate the differences. Over time we should be able to identify ptimal PH,, adn nute desires over the season i guess... Ill personally conduct PH level testes in different pots just to try and figure that out..

Anyways, my first question is, does anyone have experience with chicked or steer manure? Ive usedsteer manure and it works all righ tin small quantities to add composting material to the patch a long with some bone meal. im hoping someone has used both so they can compare them.. this is the kind of stuff this thread is for. Basically nut comparisons. Ideally its one person comparing his own experiences with different nutes and making it public, so we can take the stats and guess and compare over time...

SHROOMERY, LETS MAXIMIZE OUR POPPY PATCHES!
lETS UNLOCK THIS BEAST OF A FLOWER TO HER FULL POTENTIAL!!!
