Ever Discovered a New Species?

We are currently covering the Chapter on Fungi in my Botany class. I learned that there are four phyla in the Fungi kingdom:
Chytridiomycota (with 790 known species), Zygomycota (with 1,060 known species), Ascomycota (with 32,300 known species), and Basidiomycota (with 22,300 known species).
My book says that 1,700 new species are discovered each year, and conservative estimates for the total number of species exceed 1.5 million!
I'm assuming that most of the yet-to-be-discovered species are either chytrids or zygomycetes (which don't include any fungi that anyone here would actually hunt for), but I was wondering if any of you veterans here have ever discovered a new species of fungi or think you may have? It just seems that with all the experienced hunters we have here and with 1,700 new species being discovered each year, the odds are that one of you might have.

In discussions with the best experts on the Colorado mushrooms there seems to be a consensus that we've identified and cataloged about a third of the total species they believe actually grow here. The majority of those not yet known are actually known from elsewhere, so they don't really qualify as new species.
The last time I heard Dr. Moser speak on the genus Cortinarius (he's the authority on that genus), he estimated that there will probably turn out to be about 3,000 total species - there are currently a bit over 1,000.
The hard part is that most of the unknown species probably belong to difficult genera like Cortinarius, Entoloma, and Inocybe. Also, most of them will probably be small and unimpressive looking or rare. If you've done much serious hunting you've probably seen a couple unknown species. The problem is that, for most of them, there are only a few people in the world who would know that it's actually a new species.
I'm not aware of discovering any truly new species. I have added about 20 species to the list for Colorado. A couple of them are apparently even pretty rare. Dr. Desjardin told me that a group of some obscure Calocybe species I found was only the second find of that species ever.
The most interesting (I think) was a species that I don't think is rare, but different. A few years ago I came up with some nice specimens of Ramaria cacao. It's a pale tan coral mushroom which grows up to about 2 feet tall and smells like chocolate. It's one of the very few Ramarias that are easy to identify accurately.
Happy mushrooming!

Yeah, LizardKing has discovered at least 1 new species( active Psilocybe species, at that!), possibly 2. He sent the specimens off to UGA to be looked at, hopefuly he'll get to name them. I'm hoping to go see where these new species grow this summer.

heres mine, cant figure out what they are, maybe new? maybe not, shows relitively strong and reliable bluing reaction, purple sporeprint, growing on composting dung/straw. and bioassay has determined an inference to the pressence of psilocybin heres some pics.
the scan of the prints was turned up for contrast because the print was so light. you can see tho its purple brown. heres the original shot

The ones I picked where immature, and the caps hadn't opened up. Thats why i thought they where cubes. The mature ones didn't even resemble cubes. I should also point out that cubes where growing in the same enviroment, and there was a signifigant difference between the two.
