Up-Side-Down cake pan?
    #14012227 - 02/23/11 07:44 AM (13 years, 10 days ago)

Ok, so my friend birthed a cake pan the other day. It was a pop corn center with a verm/peat top and bottom. After removing it (entire big cake) she set it on a wire rack in a chamber. One week later, she has 90-95% of her little guys are on the bottom half. I don't think she can flip it, but she is curious to see if any of you had experienced anything similar? Also, I knows I have a typo in my name but $10 is for a name change is like paying to piss. I can't do it!

Where is the light source? Seems like it is below the fruiting chamber. Maybe the light source is below the level of the fruiting surface you were trying to achieve?

Some light is hitting the bottom, but far more is hitting the top. My guess is the gravity pulls the H2O and nutrients towards the bottom. None the less, she is curious if anyone has had any luck growing upside down? If someone says they have had problems, she might try to flip it. If not, we are curious to see what happens.

I has something close to this upside down thingy.

Mine screwed up after the 2nd flush probably due to the rusted grating i was using. Yours look to be clean and coated, so you are probably good. But I have no light source from the bottom, they were from the top.

Since your pins are already showing, and it looks good even upside down.. im guessing you are good ^^

Cool. Maybe after the first flush when the cake shrinks up a little she will try to flip it. Glad to hear that you had success up side down. Thanks!
