If you wanted to make mushroom tincture, would it be better to make it from mushrooms that were only partially dry?
So maybe 60g fresh, dried to 20g, then alcohol extracted?

I wondered the same thing, so i tried it. Use fresh. Aborts are great for this. Get a bag going in the fridge of aborts. Once you have the amount you want, toss them in the blender. Next, cover your shroomers with grain alcohol and pulverize that into a blueish greyish slurry and put that on the shelf for 24 hours shaking occasionally to prevent total separation. After 24 hours grab a wire strainer and a coffee filter and strain that, this will take some time without a pressurized filter pump. Now reduce your tincture by pouring it into a small Pyrex dish and placing a fan so the surface ripples. Once reduced store in a glass tincture bottle or a syringe(this will make it easier to measure) work your way up in dosage. With an extract that is very strong you can over do it, EASY. Put some in a glass of OJ and enjoy!

alcohol will absorb water from the wet flesh lowering the proof.
also I imagine it would be extremely inefficient because the flesh is not able to absorb the solvent. also you should powderize to save time and materials.

I mean, you may be correct on some technical level but seriously, I don't think I would want to trip harder than I've tripped that. Also, what's wrong with water content? The active ingredients are just as soluble in water as far as I know and this would also help prevent unwanted evaporation in the future.
