hhmm, the humidification technique used on that cake was daily hand misting, which works but isn't the best technique. Cubensis need around 95+% humididty for cakes and around 90 for casings.

Actually dude, it says it doesn't need a HUMIDIFIER. In the PF Tek, it says that rather than using a real humidification system, you should mist your shroomarium every day. This supplies plenty of humidity to grow mushrooms. Damn! And you had me all excited too :smile:

So, could I use perlite if need be?? I don't wanna mist it every day...thats bothersome.

Yes you should use perlite but still should airrate every 24 hours
