Could be Amanita calyptroderma.
Amanita ocreata is possible too.

it looks more like A. ocreata to me. do you know what kind of mulch (besides decidous) it was? what kind of tress are around where you found it?
Alan, why do you say ocreata is less likely? because of the type of mulch it was found it?
im thinking ocreata because of the pure white cap without the patch of the universal veil on top.

Only once, after that you're out of options.
Seriously, google is your liver's best friend in this case.

OP, I notice you have your ID book open to Amanita ovoidea. If I am not mistaken, that is an European species while A. ocreata I believe is only known from Mexico and western North America, which continent and country were your specimens found in?

Probably not.

If people in your house that did not eat the mushroom are sick too, it could be the flu.

Why did you even want to eat that? And if you're really worried, go to the Hospital or call your poisons hot-line and describe what you ate as well as how much you consumed.
But seriously. Dumb move.

If you munched half a cap, well yeah. If you chipped off a piece the size of your pinky finger nail, no.
