Glad you enjoy it, definitely one of my favorite Essau's and the Candyman solo in this is awesome. Part of this show is bonus footage on one of the View from the Vault DVDs.

Will be checking that show out tomorrow.
1989-07-18 Alpine Valley was an outstanding show, both by the Dead and DSO. I saw it a few years ago. I can't remember the more recent sets I saw that I can compared to the actual Dead set.

Couldn't you just let the songs buffer completely, then take them off your browers cache? Pretty sure I've done that. Using firefox, just type about:cache into the address bar and you can find the folder there. The files won't be named but if you change the folder to show by date modified and look for the suitably sized file you could take individual songs like that, I think.

i could....but my python script digests an entire list of search results whole. much more efficient and saves me a lot of time.

dude, just watched that clip and nearly shit a brick! really funny when he starts talking about that P.N.E. '73 show. One of my favorite shows and have never really heard anyone "speak" about that show.
fuck it, go and listen to the Bird Song from this show right now:

--------------------
"We are all intoxicated. We were born into an insane asylum, a world crazy-making. We believe what we see and hear. The real myth is the myth of sanity, of rationality: it's a disease that is eating away at the earth. All the poisons flow from our denial. We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell

In the URL, replace the section "/details/" with "/download/" (type it out yourself) and hit enter. the page reloads as a list of files. right click, save as.
That's epic.
I remember these days of basic HTML
