pins on one, fleshy stubs on the other...
    #1400565 - 03/22/03 11:38 AM (21 years, 12 days ago)

hey all,
my friend checked his cakes today, and not suprised to see pins, but was a bit shocked to see fleshy stubs, on adifferent cake.
strain: matias romero
all environment conditions are optimal. he fans 3 times daily.

the stubs are clearly some sort of mushroom growth, but they lack any kind of cap. i know someone out there knows whats going on.

i've had that before. i haven't a clue what it is. they won't turn into mushrooms, but they don't matter. don't worry about them. that cake'll be fruiting soon enough.

How big are these? Possibly primordia, possibly mutants.

hmm, size....half inch wide, and a quarter inch off the cake.

really rough estimates. my friend hasnt seen much growth from them. possibly really slow growing mutants.

funny though cuz i was just talking about how much i would love to see some nice mutants, maybe i willed it! :smirk:

primidia, doubtful usually you see some sort of cap, or darkened area (there are pins on my other cake, birthed at the same time.) these have none.

No that is too big for primordia. Once you see the start of the cap it isn't calssified as primordia anymore but rather pins.
