a kit? lol.. I think you may need to do alot of reading, then attempt it without a kit again. The PF Tek, if followed correctly, is fool-proof.. If you read it, and dont cut corners, then you will get mushrooms..
can you explain what kit your are talking about? what it had? etc?

It had 2 patch bags, 1 with rye berries and a cotton swab, and the other was 3lb of Kow-a-nite

hmmmm.. get spores from a reputable shop, and try it again. maybe make your own spawn bags? inoculate yourself? cant guarantee anything unless you do it yourself.. lol.. you dont need a "kit".. this isnt really a "kit" hobby..

I know but like i said I tried jar and blew around $70 with spores and all and followed directions and still mold was introduced. I was thinking the same thing tho. Just getting a syringe and innoculating it.

yeah
but, you need to do some more reading.. you may be flawed in your sterile technique, substrate prep, etc..
if you still have the jars, start over, follow a good tek to the T, and inoculate yourself with spores from a vendor that advertises here.. you should be able to do it.. sometimes it takes time to get it down, though
