When will my San Pedro start showing some growth

I started from a seed almost 5 months ago.
This is what it looks like now

Still tiny!
It has been this size for 2+ months now. Is this normal? How long before it starts showing some growth? I have it under 100 watt t5 6700k bulbs. Watering it every 4-5 days.

i might be wrong, but that does not look like a san pedro at all.

the right one is san pedro, commonly known as echinopsis pachanoi or trichocereus pachanoi.

I bought the seeds from a reputable online shop. I sure hope they would send the right seeds.

Of course it doesnt look like an adult san pedro, thats because it looks like a baby san pedro! At that age you cant tell apart pachanoi, peruvianus, bridgesii, macrogonus, etc. anyway
...thats not bad for 5 months growth, looks like your doing something right. It should grow like crazy in its 2nd and 3rd year and give you 6" to a foot per year after that. (cacti arent for the impatient )

Cool deal. Should I keep it under t5 bulbs or would it do better under natural sun at this stage?
Thanks.

shaded natural light is good.
depending on how hot your enviroment gets, it should be fine where it is.

looks great, keep taking at least oen foto per month and then you can see the growth, using your eyes alone they never seem to grow then one day they are huge. You could also show us the pics

I agree on natural shaded light. I put mine outside at 6 months and they have really taken off. Of course do this in the Spring/Summer.
It's looking fairly normal for a 5 month old. Good work!
