I was wondering if you would take some pictures of the in side of the box so I can see how you wired it all together? Did you buy all the parts from Radio shack? What is the dial knob for? Does that hook up to the rheostat? Thanks for taking the time.
All the parts minus the fan came from Radio Shack. Due to the box size I used a 120mm fan instead of a normal 80mm fan.
The dial knob is the rheostat, as you can see in the video it's for speed control. It controls how much voltage goes to the fan. Here are some pics:

That's a top-down view with the case off. You see the large fan (with blades removed), etc..

That's the same view with the fan removed.

Close up of the wiring for the power switch and the rheostat. Rheostat has 3 prongs, you only use two.
Ready to put your electric engineer hat on? The wiring is fairly simple. It goes like this (from the outside in).
Power supply positive goes to the 2nd (bottom) positive pole on the power switch. Power switch 1st positive pole (middle) goes to the rheostat furthest left prong. Power switch negative (top) pole goes to the power supply negative. The rheostat has 3 prongs, if they're centered in the 12 o'clock position (middle prong at 12 o'clock), it's the one at 11 o'clock. Rheostat middle prong (at 12 o'clock) goes to the positive wire from the fan. Power supply negative goes to the negative wire from the fan.
If you follow the flow, power comes in through the switch, flows to the power wiper on the rheostat, whose output wiper pole supplies positive voltage to the fan. The fan's negative is wired to the power supply and also the power switch's negative pole which completes the loop. I tie all 3 negative connections together at the same spot. In picture 2 you can see the red crimped tube with the negative connections in it at the far right.
The rheostat is marked B 25 (omega/ohms) on the back. The power supply is a Jabra rated at 5v/500mA.

Word. I like showing off my little toy, I was proud that I figured out how to wire it up and make it work/look clean from the outside.

It's not packaged very well internally but I can take pictures if you want. I have a video on youtube of it in operation.
I thought you were a black guy till I saw your video.

My nickname has been Enigma for years, it was FireMonkey before that, my friends gave me the FireMonkey because I am so hairy and my beard grows out bright orange even though my hair is brown, they said I look like a monkey with it's face on fire. I like Enigma better because there is no explanation for it and I AM an unsolvable riddle
