Two quick Saliva divinorum questions
    #14003081 - 02/21/11 06:23 PM (13 years, 11 days ago)

1. I am on the east/south corner of my house. However only the east corner has a desk by it, the south side just has a small windowsill that isnt big enough for a decent sized plant probably.

So can I grow salvia on the east side or do I need to just cough up for like an end table to put it on so it gets light from the south?

2. Can I get Salvia divinorum at like a nursury or like Lowes? My mom was saw the Miley Cirus thing on the news and was like "hey I have salvia" but it turns out it was the wrong species.

1. If the East facing window lets in enough light, say one or two hours of direct it will grow there. Not sure on the sun's trajectory in your parts as I'm in the Southern Hemisphere.

2. No. You cannot buy Salvia divinorum at lowes, only from private trades or from Entheogen suppliers like we have here at Shroomery. Check 'em out.

Even if your salvia only gets indirect sunlight each day it should be ok, mine only gets a glimpse of direct sunlight through the leaves under a tree in my yard. By the sounds of things the biggest threat to its survival will be your mum realizing its the right species :leaf::evil2: >-----------> :crankey::uhoh: >-----------> :spank:

Why would they be inactive? There all the same plant clones from basically all the same cuttings of one or two original plants. First plant I got was from an herb farm/nursery and it worked just fine.

They would be inactive because they are not Salvia divinorum. Many different species of Salvia are used in the horticultural industry, mostly garden plantings and for their flowers. These are the ones that are found at Lowes and the like.

How many years ago did you buy your first plant? I ask because a lot has changed regarding the distribution of S. divinorum.

Yeah it was early 2000 maybe 2001. I thought he meant Salvia D. my bad. It was at this really awesome herb farm guy literally had just about anything you could imagine. He was growing Salvia D. outside in a flower bed and the stalk was an inch square no lie.

Well wasn't much more that the stalk, he hacked it down at the end of the summer to make clones to overwinter. I'm going to go back to that place this spring now that I know more about plants. I'm probably going to drop a few $100's and buy a lot of stuff for the yard.
