Hey, after hours of watching clips and reading I am ready to start my own mushroom grow using the Terrarium-Tek option with vermicule. I had questions though as to after I steam sanitize them do you put the spore solution in each hole ( out of the four)? And do I put the tape back over the holes after this process? Also, What is the best psychedelic spore out there? Im looking for the most potent. Thanks guys!

-------------------- The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.

As for your first question, leave the jars uncovered after the inoculation.
As for your second, since you're doing cakes, grow Cubensis.

NO you don't want to sanitize your jars after inoculating them. You want to put micropore tape on the holes to allow gas exchange. Don't put back the aluminum foil.

The best method for a beginner is to follow a tek by the book. And these links we gave you are really good ones. By following the tek you will understand what you're doing and why which will help you in your future grows.
Happy mushrooming and welcome to the wonderful world of mycology. Also fell free to ask questions we are here to help you. You should also read some threads than looks important and UTSE to answer questions you might have.
Regards, Smirnoff

I grow my jars with no foil or tape(only foil when pc'ing). If this is the first you've heard of this, than you haven't read that many posts. I have 95% success rate so far.

Equador has a rather large, pretty looking fruit. Very easy to grow as well.

well you want to take off the aluminum foil but you definitely want to keep the micropore tape on.

I cannot give you an estimate because you are growing ms. Ms will differ from cake to cake. It will always differ depending on your fruiting conditions and how well you care for them. Example: I put 3 MS cakes into my FC and got 5 dry grams total from 3 cakes. One produced 3 grams the other produced 1 each. It will all depend on you.

as I said before the yield you'll get depends on your ability to give them a good environment to grow in (relative humidity on the FC, temperature in the FC, enough FAE, your substrate, the lighting, Ms vs isolate, etc, etc) Since it's the first time you grow and you don't seem to know alot, I wouldn't expect much. Maybe not even an 1/8th per cake. But really there is no way to know it for sure before it happens.
keep us posted
