ignorance can be amazing when you are experiencing it at its best (joy, excitement happiness) but when an ignorant mind veers on its course, it is like a boat that cant control is sail or rudder, only being further consumed by fear and anger.
without knowing how to eliminate the causes for these undesirable moments, one will continue the path of the cyclical random uncontrollable existence

some say ignorance is bliss, i say just that statement is bliss

I say that bliss is never ignorant, no matter how dumb or intellectual the cause.

To be ignorant CAN be a strength because it can simplify thought and make life easier to live. It can be bliss in that you are just being. I think that ignorant bliss is broken though when someone encounters an uneasy question or ego check.

Hahahahaha you fuckin detective curious guy. I was going to say ignorance would be bliss only without repercussions, but the definition of ignorance is being unaware of actual conditions, it is not defined as having immunity to these conditions. This being said,  Bliss, as the superlative of all things, would be an understanding of all things, including DEATH!!!!!

To 'witness,' as the Christians say. I often wear some piece of spiritual jewelry. I used to wear a simple dull grey metal cross with a Star of David in the center. That was when my identity was Jewish Christian. Few people asked me about it. Later, I wore a Celtic encircled cross, and a Jewish secretary asked me why I was wearing a cross at all. I said that I was raised Jewish, but I aspired to be the kind of Jew that Jesus was. When I wore a Kabbalistic Tree around my neck, and I told her it was Kabbalah, her stereotypical Jewish response was, "Those people have a lot of money." An Israeli mother of a student acknowledged the Tree with a smile. I often wear a Tibetan Buddhist bracelet. I used to have a matching ring. My Jewish cardiologist thought the Tibetan script was Hebrew! We all 'construct' reality.

Not only has it been exceedingly rare for anyone to speak with me about spiritual matters over the past 25 or 30 years. When most people visit our home, they ignore the library. I mean, when I've been to homes or offices (like my late analyst's) with a library, I'm extremely interested in looking for books I've never seen. So, spiritual AND intellectual people are so few and far between in my life, that I sometimes just wear an identifying ornament to passively advertise a spiritual message. The practice has been largely ignored. Most people meet their spiritual needs largely by some conventional practice like going to church, synagogue or mosque, and are ethnocentric in that regard. I mean, people very rarely cross these boundaries. I haven't been outspoken about spiritual matters since I was a naive college kid in the early 70s.

Yeah some of my family are a bit weirded out by it i reckon, its natural to fear what you don't understand

My friends all tend to see the changes my mind & body has gone through in a very positive light yet my family seems to only see what they consider negative aspects of it like how my mind haa become a bit emotionally detached from life & general social expectations like striving to get a high paid job, a girlfriend, then make babies with her, then get a mortgage, a family car, be miserable... i think they want me to be 'normal'

I flat out told my mum i'm destined to be a Buddha, get used to it

Ya'll are making me feel very lucky. After I quit pursuing my career goals, my mom totally accepted it. My dad didn't give a rip either way, he just said, "you're a psychologist whether you pursue it or not. This doesn't really change anything."

The grandfather was the one I wasn't sure about. He funded my college career and still sends money my way. I wrote him a letter describing it to him, and he promptly called my mom and said that he was blown away and that "I am some kid"

My only enemy has been myself. Trying to balance necessity out with contentment.

I'm quickly becoming less naive but I am still a college kid.

I think before I was just overwhelmed with what I was aware so that I couldn't help but talk about it.  Nobody around me was seeing what I was seeing so I felt nervously compelled to point out the trainwrecks all around me.

When I see people weirded out by it, or wanting to attack it or demean it, I see weakness, deep internal weakness.

And no matter what form that weakness has manifested itself in, I take the opportunity to shake that persons world with that metaphorical shadow of theirs, given it's formed from a perception which often has nothing to do with actuality and more so the way they are internalizing a situation and casting their own personal perceptual lens of judgement upon it.
It ain't my issue if they lack objectivity.

Not the friendliest thing to do, but. I've always been great at doing it. And they never forget and learn, which is the point. I'm a bit of a fan of "weirding" people out.
:satansmoking:

It only bothers me, when someone I am deeply connected with does not understand... It hurts....  :crying:

i wish i could blow peoples mind's away. instead if someone ever asks for advice or im in a deep convo about metaphysics ill throw out a really deep analogy that will make them think.

im just more focused on compassion. i realized while driving home just a bit ago, i love making people happy.
i love it
and love expands and opens the dna strands, rather than contracting it like fear does.
