not odd, but just uncommon unless your trying to sport mental superiority.

Very sad.

When Paul talks about non interventionist foreign policy, he says it is the advice of the founders. Washington and Jefferson openly warned against unnecessary war and entangling alliances BECAUSE of the problems it created in the 1700s. They warned about it AFTER the mistakes of war were made, with the exeption of the Barbary war, which your history of it is skewed . Jefferson summed up the noninterventionist foreign policy position in his 1801 inaugural address: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none." Just as Eisenhower warned against the military industrial complex it doesn't mean that Eisenhower didn't contribute to it. It is the advice of those who made mistakes and didn't want others to repeat it. Also the First Barbary war you are referring in northern Africa to doesn't even go against Paul's beliefs. He's not completely anti-war, but believes war is justified in response to attack on the United States such as American merchant ships attacked in the late 1700s. Madtown, the way you make the US seem in during the Barbary War doesn't really show the true justification we had after repeated attempts to negotiate terms with them. The Pasha of Tripoli declared unofficial war on the US, not the other way around.

Also, what is wrong with you guys, can you not debate intelligently without personally putting each other down? It's pretty childish.
