1st Oyster grow question

Ive had a couple of successful cube grows from cakes and now I want to try oysters. I have 5 jars of wbs colonizing right now. My question is can I use the foil meatloaf pans to make blocks of colonized straw substrate, then take the blocks out of the pans and birth into my FC? Also, if I were inclined to could I use the same technique to birth pan cyans? Or leave those casings in the pan?

Not totally sure what you're asking. When it comes down to it, it seems like you are asking about 3 species that have very different growth parameters.
Cubes are pretty aggressive but need to be pretty warm. Not terribly sensitive to FAE or light though good FAE makes nice big caps. But overall they do well inside.
Oysters are crazy aggressive to colonize and will even overcome molds in my experience. When it comes to fruiting they love to be outside. Nice daylight (without beating sun during the heat of the day) and lots of fresh air. I've had terrible luck with oysters inside and almost 100% luck with oysters outside. They have a wide temperature range (40's are ok for some species) and will fruit well even without the high humidity cubes need. I would say cubes and oysters wants very different conditions so it's best not to try to apply one to another.
Pan cyans I've never done successfully but again a totally different beast. You'll want poo and a casing layer to fruit and the mycelium in VERY light. I think it wants it even warmer than cubes but I'm no expert.
In some ways oysters are way easier than cubes but you'll have better luck if you recognize that these two species have very different needs. And neither should be cased so they're also very different from pans.

You can use trays to colonize straw then take the colonized straw out of the trays and fruit them in a green house. Don't use aluminum foil trays to colonize your bulk substrate inside of if you can avoid it. Use small plastic trays instead. Oyster mushrooms are much more CO2 intolerant than cubes so be sure to provide ample amounts of fresh air.

I decided to post pics of the "loaves" of my oysters. They started to pin yesterday after 5 days in my FC. I did use the aluminum meatloaf pans but I will switch to plastic in the future as one of the loaves wanted to hold on to the aluminum when birthing it.
