Hypothetical Question about amount of spawn

Pretend Im using damions tek, if i used 1 quart of colonized grain and spawned it to the coir, i understand obviously it will take much longer to fully colonize, but once that happens, will it produce as much fruits as if i used 5 quarts as per the tek.
hypothetically. just wanted to know if amount of starting mycelium = amount of fruits.

The grain is a nutritious resource. So, no.

yeah.. it takes longer because of the inoculation points that you have when using more grain, as opposed to less grain.. from each piece of grain, the myc will basically grow out in all directions..
have you ever seen outbreak? lol.. there is a scene where it shows a bunch of dots on the screen, showing infection points in the country.. same concept.. the more "points of infection", if you will, the faster it will colonize any given substrate. as for growing more mushies using less spawn? nah.. get the bulk sub colonized quick, and go from there..
hopefully this made sense.. lol.. wake n bake

i think you're missing my question.
will 1 quart spawned to coir = same amount of mushies as 5 quarts spawned to coir?
or approximately the same?

maybe.. its hard to say.. cased or non cased? what type of chamber? i mean, there are alot more variable for a good harvest that are far more important..
im going to say no.. that you will not get more mushies.. probably about the same.. but i have never experimented like that.. i just worry about my bulk sub getting colonized quickly.. thats what i use the spawn for..
besides.. the whole mycelium colony will be sharing the same food resources from the grain and the bulk sub, so i dont think it will matter either way..

only bad thing, from what i read, was the fact that its a multispore experiment, and cannot really be trusted unless an iso is used.. I mean, any of the subjects in that experiment could possibly have altered results due to genetics..
regardless of which, i bookmarked it, and am following it now.. haha

Yea, that's exactly the problem w/ the experiment, but eventually we'll have a true scientific study on it. Exact same iso w/ varying ratios w/ 2 tubs per ratio all done @ the exact same time & put into all the exact same conditions as each other...
