The Eyes of Tool

I wanted to share with you guys a couple drawings I made based on some of Tool's cover art. Tool's music has filled my life with new and often strange perspectives I otherwise would have not come across. I personally find their music very spiritual and full of insights, especially on Lateralus.
The next eye will be from Lateralus and I'm gonna try and paint that one.

I really like the Irises on the second one. the first one has a cool spark of originallity
Jimi Hendrix had a shirt that had a drawing alot like that on it. Keep on drawing cool stuff and posting. I cant seem to draw or write much lately, although I have been jamming on soom new songs..it sucks when you feel like you cant express.

TOOL's music is an inspiration to me, too. Lateraulus is really great trippin, especially the end of the album (coincides with the peak of the trip if you wait half an hour before putting the music on). Disposition and Reflection, and the instrumental (Track 12) take on quite an atmosphere. It's music with a message, which is what makes it so good. The artists that put meaning into their music are the great ones that stand out, like Tool, Mudvayne, IN FLAMES, etc.
By the way, nice drawings. I especially like the first one (I wish I had a t-shirt too with it on it).
Peace.

hehehe guess what folks? i opened this thread and my mom is talking on the phone... just when i read murex's post "tool sux" she goes... und keine eier... hahaha dunno what she's talking about, guess it is about fasting and meditation... she is in this meditation group and is trying to stop eating meat and smoking, so i guess that's what shes referring to with "und keine eier" (and no eggs)... just gotta love these synchronicities...
god bless tool

I wish I had a t-shirt too with it on it Funny that you mention it, there is a place by my house that makes custom t-shirts and I was gonna put one eye in the front, and the other in the back, or maybe get two seperate ones. If you wanna use my pic on a custom t-shirt I'll be happy to send you the full size scanned image.

Ya, that's why I asked if you're joking. I assumed you were, but just wanted to make sure.
