Working with amazonian shamans at an ayahuasca retreat

My life is incredibly dull and I want to discover myself spiritually by relocating to the amazon to perhaps work with an ayahuasca retreat center. How would I go about doing this?

I would suggest going to ayahuasca.com(org?) forum. there are many people there who have relationships with people in Peru.

I live in Brazil and know nothing about this. Here ayahuasca is given by a church called Santo Daime, and I don't think it's exactly how the shamans did in the amazon, but there's lots of rituals and songs and such, I never did it though, I'll probably try it next month or so. Do you have experience with ayahuasca?

Santo Daime sounds and looks interesting, but definitely seems a lot different from the shamanic approach. I would do it though if I was in Brazil.

you can also just get some quality caapi for a descent price off of the web, brew your own, and explore for yourself if you want. You don't have to travel to the amazon to 'discover your spirituality', as you say

Seems like a pretty big commitment man. Would be an amazing experience and story to tell however.
