50/50 coffee water increasing contamination rate?

Title is pretty self explanatory.
About a month ago I did 5 jars PF-tek (No PC) style to a T, and 2 cakes are in the fruiting chamber, 1 contamination at the last minute, 2 still colonizing.
Using the same sterile procedure, I simply substituted half the water for coffee, and all 5 of my current jars have contams.
Any correlation with the coffee? I'm not very experienced yet, so I don't have a large sample rate to draw from.

Me thinks it probably cooks at 10 PSI on high and 5 on low as it says it has 2 settings. Maybe it's a good cheap alternative and you just need to cook for longer?

You don't need a pressure cooker for the brf/pf tek, period.
Adding coffee to jars will not increase contamination if you keep things sterile. Contamination is caused by mold or bacteria landing on sterile media. This is why we follow sterile procedure and use filters on our jars. RR
