Something I've been thinking about since I saw Black Swan.
If you were able to achieve perfection in something...but the cost is your life. Is it a fair trade?
The experience of "perfect" for your life.

I do perfect things all the time. I can't be giving up my life every god damned time now can I?

Sometimes I'm a perfect ass (or so I've been told by my future ex wife).

Future ex? The sooner the better and I hope for your sake you learned a lesson. Most don't.

I don't mean little things...in the movie for example she was a lifelong ballerina who basically trades her life for a perfect performance of swan lake.
Oops- Spoiler Alert
Anyway, that's the type of thing I am talking about.
@ Icelander would you trade say 1 day of zero death anxiety and full comprehension of the universe for your life?
That should be an easy answer since without the death anxiety....

Well we'll take what we can get. Some need to learn a lesson many times before it sinks. I just hope you have some money left.

Well whatever works for you.
For me, I'd trade my life "get it" all for the length of a beautiful sunset.
Unfortunately my death anxiety is such that I would also want write it down so someone else could read it...which is so fucking lame.

Of course there's always the chance once you had this understanding...you'd realize how irrelevant the question was and still die unhappy. LOL

It's the pursuit of understanding that makes life worth living. There would be no point to continue with life if there was nothing left to discover, so I could imagine there would be no sorrow or grief when faced with immediate death. I kinda dig life, so I would probably pass on the opportunity and continue with the search my own way.
