why do they seek to repeat the experience in a safer setting? i was dating a girl a few months back who liked watching rape scenes in movies, then later confessed she was raped a few years ago. when having sex she likes it rough, being tied up and stuff, basically rape-like scenarios.
how does that work? its kind of sad but i dont know why
some girl please explain this to me or if someone has links to some psychological explanation please post

Many girls will probably not want to have sex at all after this and will probably have trust issues. Post traumatic stress disorder.

post traumatic stress disorder is a serious dysfunktion and things like trust issues or being uncomfortable around men with mustaches or something like that has nothing to do with this. PTSD is way harder. so about your girls - i have no clue, nor ever heard about something like that. maybe she's making it up to excuse for her fetishes or she exaggerates. like being heavily drunk and some guy taking advantage of it. but i find this question quite interesting, maybe someones got something to add.

Force, aggression, dominance are all part of human psychosexuality.

I think it has to do with guilt. One of the biggest problems with victims of rape or molestation is a feeling of guilt, and the victims may try to work through it in some way to understand it and "solve it" so that they can salvage their self image. If you read about serial killers, child molesters (don't know much about that myself cuz it just is too hard to read, even compared to serial killers imo), etc a lot of times they also have these problems with feelings of control-when they had feelings of complete helplessness especially under a sexual pretext then they can try to overcome these feelings through more extreme acts and that sort of thing-just watch interview with ted bundy and jeffery dahmer, they both describe trying to quit their addictions of rape and murder but the feeling of complete control, like being a god.
BTW if you're wondering why the hell I researched that crap quite a bit, my dad is a diagnosed psychopath, and growing up his controlling habits left me feeling that complete and utter soul deadening helplessness in certain situations and now I have extreme social anxiety problems, but I do feel sorry for him because his mother treated him similarly. So yeah, sorry for kinda going on a mini rant, but if you are interested in that type of thing I suggest looking up I, Psychopath, aileen wuornos, ted bundy, john wayne gayce, the mafiosi crime bosses, jeffrey dahmer, son of sam, unit 731, albert fish, and ed gein oh and of course dr mengele and the bitch of buchenwald
careful though, watching too much of that type of thing or shows like Law and Order SVU can be depressing
and of course for an interesting (although fairly inaccurate ime) and less gut wrenching source watch some dexter!

meams said: That whole "seeking" out the rape experience only comes from a small percentage of those who have suffered such horrors. I know with the females I know who've been raped, just the mention of one of the words he used during the attack is enough to make them completely shut down and clamp up.
Subjectivity.
I think few seek it out so directly, but I think even those who avoid it can subconsciously be attracted to certain things which help them understand it and cope with it whether its rougher sex or just simply reading a book about rape or curiosity about those evil types of mindsets. If they don't seek out anything I think they may become very avoidant (although that could be considered the same thing in some ways) and very sensitive to anything that reminds them of it and other symptoms of ptsd

I can't really say.
I've never been raped, but I had a guy force himself on me and......I'd rather not get into..
I was kind of young, but by then I had an idea of the kind of things I liked and found porn and explored sex (not with other people). I've always gone to the internet for research so .
I always like it rough. The thought of being tied up, picked up, thrown around etc, turns me on. These always have been things. Of course, I always imagined these things happening with someone I loved or trusted.
When a similar situation happened again with a friend's bf while I was passed out drunk, I got a lot more mixed up.
Now, Idk. I find myself feeling guilty for wanting things I was actually subject to against my will to an extent. I can't imagine what she must of gone through, so I can't say if its the same.

I can tell you what that is big % of the time. They have taken a situation where they were powerless, and made it into something they control, whether it is on a screen or wth a safe lover...a controlled enviornemt. They are taking their power back. Everyone handles trama different, but this is quite common.

I really don't understand this either. I have a good friend who was molested when she was very young, and then raped when she was in her earlier teens. Since then, she always put herself in terrible situations, and it's happened two more times. It's like she's doing it on purpose now. She refuses to date anyone who doesn't look like he has absolutely no issue raping or beating her. And she never reports anything. I really fucks with me to see her do this to herself, but I can't do anything about it.
I really wish I had an answer for you.
