Oh, you can see much more than patterns. Imagine the trippiest music visualization programs X100. Add telepathic communication with beings that seem to be part of these visualizations, sometimes gnomes, elves, etc. It's amazing what you can see behind closed eyelids on a decent dose of shrooms.

sometimes. I get weird feelings of telepathy from other dimensions and stuff combined with it though. At least on heavy doses.

Mushrooms can simulate time travel, it can make you forget who you are, who your parents are, what those things at the end of your arms are, etc... With eyes closed you can see many things. It can be a moving pattern, made up of literally anything you've ever thought of. It can be an image of something almost indistinguishable viewed from an awkward angle, that explodes into a highway that turns into a zipper etc... You can also find yourself in another reality entirely.

Question. When I do have CEV from many different drugs, the visuals are usually a bit blurry. When you have visuals on mushrooms are they sharp and vivid, or just a blur of what you think of what you might be seeing?
I'm thinking about dosing more than 4.5 my first time now, during night time where it's peaceful and I can just relax.

I would say mushroom visuals are quite vivid from my experience. At least the CEV's are. The OEV's can be kinda blurry and stuff.
you gotta realize that's a pretty hefty dose, and that it lasts a fair amount of time. Seems you have some experience with other substances, but I'd still recommend starting 3-3.5 You can always take more next time. They have the possibility of being quite hellish at that type of dose.

shouldn't you have to be a member here for a certain amount of time before being allowed to give dosage information? You have to realize different people respond differently to mushrooms.

Tomorrow I should be able to cross Bromo-DragonFLY off of my list. 
I have calm music to listen to for when I take my mushroom trip, I don't freak out easily considering I know I'm tripping and there's nothing to worry about. The only time I noticed that I freak is when I get too high while on psychedelics because I dislike the overwhelming feelings, it's not really freaking but I shove myself into my pillow or away from everybody else. In fact, that's anytime I get really high, especially on the JWH-x chems,  .
I pretty much have everything perfected for my mushroom trip environment and entertainment (things to keep me occupied) wise, I'm just unsure of what to expect which sometimes worries me.

Yeah you only get that first trip once. 
Mine was 2g at a phish concert. Had no idea what I was getting into...that's a fuck load of people to be around on your first trip. lol
