Hello, I got a question. How do my Plates look? I compaired them with stonesun's plates here (BTW stonesun thanks I use that as my #1 reference... Much appreciated.) But I have never seen anything but Cubensis on agar. So I don't really know what I am looking at. Anyone with experience with ATL#7 on agar care to look at these plates?

So what do you think? They look decent IMO. But then again I have only seen Cubensis. Hell for all I know it could be cobweb... I never even seen cobweb on agar... Just Cubensis and Bacteria and Trich.

I was surprised to see how different can be the mycelium from multispore. From my Little experience, your plates seems as mines at the beginning !
Here are two pics of an agar jar of 2 month old. Stone is growing.

Wow I was thinking I was not going to get an answer LOL I seen this thread fall off yesterday when I asked...
Thanks so it looks good. Good.
I did some reading before I posted these pictures. And I read that this specie can be a bit wispy and linear (Thats what it said in TMC as well) And not quite as rhizomorphic as P. cubensis, I also read that it can look cotton ball'ish from MS up until a couple transfers are made on plates. But I just wanted to play it safe and as you all...
Thanks for the replies -SB

If you've only ever grown cubes, be prepared for some weird-looking mycelium Color will vary from light to tan to brown, texture varies too.

Hey SB,
The mycelium in your photo does not look like ATL7....yet.
All I mean is that ATL7 has one of the more distinctive mycelial growths that I have seen. It will start to color (brown or tan) and get lumpy.
The other poster photo is a good reference.
So, I do not think that you can be certain yet, but that looks like good growth, and clean, and so I am sure that you are ok for now.
Take care,
JD

Well it better be ATL#7 I used the same syringe that is in this picture from Sporeworks.

If it is not ATL#7 then thats the 3rd time Sporeworks would have screwed me.
#1 was a Psilocybe cubensis : Burma Spore Syringe #2 was a Panaeolus (Copelandia) cambodginiensis : Thailand, Suphanburi Goliath(TM)
So if this turns out any different the I will be adding a number three (#3 Psilocybe galindoi (galindii) var. Georgia ATL#7 Large Sclerotia(TM))
I sure hope it is ATL#7 because I have spend WELL OVER $300.00 at there site. And thats a good amount of money. And I promises I wont spend another dime there if this turns to be anything different them ATL#7
Dang it JD you got me all fired up! I hope for sporeworks sake they didn't screw me for the Third time This 90 day rule is stupid I want to start using the market place now. And Sporeworks is the best vendor here... And my personal favorite. Damn I hope its ATL#7 I am still bummed about my Pan. cambo's I dont think I can handle another disappointment like that.

:Takes a Deep Breath:
Yeah I am sure my Mycelium will be just fine. I think I just worked myself up for a second. I am pretty sure it is ATL#7... It just has not shown the different colors yet... I think I just had a moment ^^^ up there... that happens from time to time So excuses me when that happens

No worries. SW is good. You will rock.
I apologize if I seemed uncertain. I was not. I just wanted to add that you will have no doubt, and very soon I am sure, as this is a species that behaves distinctly (at least in my limited experience).
Take care,
JD
