HiThis is my first time at WBS,I've only grown cakes in a SGFC I made my jars 4 days ago I noticed growth yesterday My brf cakes never started that fast, always takes them about 5 days to show a dime spot So basically my question is Does this look like mycelium? The first 2 pictures kinda suck, but the third one is a little more clear It seems to me like thats a lot of growth for that small amount of time Thanks in advance for any and all input

It looks good so far....but only time will tell. I had one jar fall to trich and it appeared good for a week before the ugly green exposed its head. Just monitor it thats all. All my WBS jars, even the quart ones colonized ALOT faster than my BRF jars. Do a shake at 20% and bam it will explode even faster....Good job so far

I'm in the middle of my first wbs experiment after several with the standard pf-tek. To answer your question, your jar looks great. I think colonization speed on wbs is much quicker than PF-tek jars. Also, did you knock up that jar with a print you took? I think that germination times for spores that were recently collected may be much faster. I recently knocked up a bunch of wbs containers with a homemade syringe from an old (taken 3-4 weeks ago) homemade print, a homemade syringe from a quite new homemade print (taken less than 72 hours prior) and an old (in the fridge for 3-4 weeks) commercial syringe. The wbs with the newest spores germinated far quicker than the others.
