Grew some cubensis - second flush looks kind of strange...
    #13990071 - 02/19/11 01:37 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Hi there,

I recently bought a ready-to-go grow-box (a small one). As I've used those grow-boxes multiple times without problems, the first flush has looked very beautiful.
The second (and last) flush looks strange.. there are white speckles at the mushrooms' heads, some grew very (!) irregular compared to the first flush (and the grow-boxes I had before). In addition some of them have a small opening at the top of their heads leading into the stem. Another one cracked in the middle of the stem, as if one side grew faster than the other.

Maybe you can have a look at the pictures I've made to make your own opinion about if they are enjoyable...

Kind regards and thanks in advance.

Looks good! Mutations are common and nothing to be worried about, I guess your irregular stems may have been caused by too high temperatures.
But of course they are still good.
Give this thread a look to see how weird can cubensis look.
