I stopped buying when they made it so that OEM licences stay with the motherboard.  I often change a motherboard every year or so.

Crack Instructions
------------------
- Install Windows 7 without using a serial key (install as Trial) or automatically Activating.
- Install Windows Loader by DAZ.
- Run and Reboot. Your PC is now Genuine.

There's a loader you have to download to run the thing (which is what you mentioned), and when you do, it becomes a genuine copy and you can receive official updates.

I remember doing it when I installed mine, but have no memory of actually how to use it. sorry

I seriously can't.

It shouldn't be too hard to find though. I know of a fact the loader was created for once specific purpose, so that helps.

My wife and I have half dozen computers between us.  Besides the laptops there is a server, a gamer, and an htpc.  I find my self upgrading each one about once every three years, which nets about one computer upgrade per year.

Its fun, and expensive.  Right now, Im thinking about some more hardrive space, a bigger case for my server, and another, bigger monitor.  The server stuff needs to be done, because we are running out of space.  But the monitor is just something I want.  Right now I have 2 19" monitors, I would like to put a 23/24" in between them.

i downloaded the Windows Loader by DAZ from the "official" site, extracted the files, dragged the files to my flash drive, transferred those files to "THE BEAST" (my new computer ), installed the files, rebooted the computer and well um... i guess my shit is genuine now.

it was pretty simple and everything that did happen was suppose to happen. now im on to downloading all the utilities and random cds that came with all the parts from newegg.

i wont be able to take it for a spin online until tomorrow so for now... i built an amazing computer to meet my solitaire playing needs.
