Season changes bring memories

Have you experienced this? As weather changes, you are forced to recall events that happened the last time the season was in?
For example,
It's deep into wintertime. You read a book about hiking, and at the time are interested in cooking. Inspired by the book you hike a lot. Next winter comes, and the memory of the times when you loved to cook and go hiking and, even the state your mind was in at the time(which is the most fascinating part), all comes back with the weather, the memory somehow much more brilliant than when the actual event occurred.
This can also happen with music. For example, even still when i hear the dead's greatest hits album i recall wintertime, sitting in the woods by the fire-about the point in my life when i discovered the dead.
Times when i was depressed seem to be recalled as the most vivid. The current springtime weather streak were having (where i live) is a strange time because about last spring is when I broke up with my gf, but springtime is so beautiful, which stirs up a very strange mindset. Its like depression and happiness altogether!

i get this effect from seasons a lot... especially at the start of autumn and spring - and i agree, the nostalgic memories are stronger than the intial events, the mind is strange like that

In the spring and fall when it is moist out I get this really moving 'MUSHROOMY WEATHER' vibe at the start of the seasons.

I love the spring. I love everything about it. The new life, the anticipation of good summer, the feeling of warmth slowly coming back.
