I have an electric one and it works just fine. I like it because I don't have to monitor it as much as regular ones. Just have to make sure its still kicking out steam so you know it isnt boiling dry....Mine isn't that big though so it sucks having to use it 4 times in 1 day. The only thing about electrics is they aren't as big as they seem. Just pay attention to how many quarts it holds, what it says on the label. They are actually 2 parts. There is a container on the inside. The gray/silver part in the picture is the outside shell....

Yeah size was a concern, says it holds 6 quarts though, what's the standard size pressure cooker hold in terms of quarts? What size should I be looking for?

6 qt is ok to start with. You'll want a bigger one later. But you still need the small one, so get it first.

Yeah, you don't need a pressure cooker for PF style, BRF cakes....Only need it for Wild Bird seed and other grains....
for BRF jars just take a big pot....Use lids or balls of foil to elevate your jars 1 inch above the water. Use some flat folded foil to make a platform on top of the balls of foil or lids for the jars to sit upright. Put the top on and steam sterilize for 90-120 minutes. Make sure you start the timer when the water comes to a boil.....I do 120 and haven't had a jar contam yet. Add some water along the way to make sure the pot doesn't boil dry if you need to....

I wouldn't get a little thing like that. For brf cakes, you can use a large pot and do 20 or more cakes at a time. Once you move to grains, you'll need something larger than that anyway. I'd save my money for now. RR
