Make shift incubator

Hi there. I have a friend, this is his first time cultivating. What he did for an incubator was got a cooler, a 6 pack cooler as he is only doing 3 1/2 pint jars, and then put the innoculated jars into the cooler. He then got a bigger jar, not sure of the size, probably the next size up from a pint, and filled that jar with the hottest tap water that would come out. He then put that jar into the cooler, with the 1/2 pint jars equally distributed around the heat bank. This method will keep the jars at a temperature of 80-85F for about 4 hours, give or take depending on the temperature of your room etc. The static temperature inside the cooler is about 75F, so the temperature change is not too extreme if you go without putting hot water in the bottle for a while. So far so good, he has 3 jars of B+ going right now, hopefully things will pan out for him. Is this a good method of incubation for him to continue?

Just try to keep the temperature around the jars at 80 or 81 degrees MAX the temperature in the jars is going to be between 5 - 6 degrees warmer. colonization causes heat
