Fruit trees are awesome, but my #1 priority when I get a yard is going to be getting some scuppernong vines started.  Scuppernongs are the most delicious fruit in the world imo.

jk  I had to google scuppernong cause I've never heard of it.  How is it different from a grape?

toast some bread. quarter the avocado with a knife, remove the skin and pit. sprinkle both sides of quarters with salt and pepper. bread pops out. combine toast with avocado (if you hear a crunch when you push the bread down on the avocado, that means its working)

eat

There are several differences, one of the differences is that most varieties of scuppernong are bigger than grapes.  They also have thicker skins so that most people don't eat the skins at all, they squeeze the inside of the fruit out and throw away the skin.  And the fruit is sooo much sweeter than a regular grape. Also, in my opinion the texture of a scuppernong is better than a grape (less crispy and more chewy). Yummm.

And yes, even more delicious than a schnozberry .

Interesting...  I'll have to have a talk with my sister about it.  Her job right now is to test experimental fruit at the UofMN by making wine.  She knows all about different varieties of grapes and what kind of wine they are good for.  I wonder if there are any cold hearty varieties of scuppernongs out there?
