I just turn off the lights, lay down somewhere comfortable, and I fall asleep. Works every time! For some reason, I have always just been able to fall asleep on command. I used to think that I was just sleep deprived, but for the last year or so I have really made an effort to get a full 7-8 hours each night. I still have no problems and fall asleep within minutes of my head hitting the pillow..

I take enough GHB/Smoke enough weed untill I pass out. If I don't, I have to wait 2-3 days before my "natural fatigue" kicks in. (No i'm not on uppers the whole time )
I just can't fall asleep . Too many thoughts keep racing in my head and I can't sleep when i'm "bored" or when I have the urge to learn new things, create new things, ... *sob*

melatonin is great for temporary insomnia, but like everything else it stops working if you take it every night. the best way to fall asleep easily is to not be worried about being able to fall asleep.. but if you can't sleep its nearly impossible not to worry about it when you're laying down to bed.
Exercise in the daytime helps if you're into working out. Sex also makes it really easy to fall asleep but for me. Even just being in the same bed with my girl makes me fall asleep within minutes of laying down even if we hadn't just had sex.
I used to have insomnia for years and I tried everything to cure it. But the most effective long term solution is to wake up and get out of bed around the same time every morning (at least mon-fri) and to stop thinking and worrying so much about how the hell I'm gonna sleep tonight. Once I started being able to sleep again my confidence in my ability to fall and stay asleep came back and I haven't had more than a handful of sleepless nights in years.
I would try a combination of things. getting up at the same time every day, try to get some exercise every day or heavy exercise every other day, and get some melatonin to take before bed.

I stretch... if that doesn't work, I lay down in bed and tense every muscle in my body for a bit... and then relax.
And valerian supplements... and chamomile tea... and spray my pillow with lavender or smells that calm me down.
Insomnia has made me look into this quite a bit...

I love the feeling of my feet moving from a warm part of the bed to a cold part.

I do all of that, working out only gives me even more energy... I stopped worrying because of wonderful chemicals taking over the work . Good ole chemicals
