"War is at best a necessary evil"
Peter Turnley
-------------------- You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

The images that the U.S government shows on t.v(of the war) are selective and dont show the overall destruction that is caused. These images are covered up at the time of war but once its been over for a while the pictures surface, by that time people have moved on to other things and dont care.

The Pentagon has learned that if you show the American public too many pictures of dead peasants and children, if the pictures are too bloody and too gruesome day after day, you will certainly help to build up antagonism to the war. Ever since Vietnam they have slowly but surely limited the media access to the battlefield -it gets less and less with each war. It is all staged now...they allow the media to see only what they want them to see.

Looks like those Iraqis made a mistake by invading Kuwait.

Arguable... but only if you exclude this war from that assertion. The press grumbled hugely at their extremely limited access in 1991. As a result, this time there are quite a few "embedded" reporters who are as close to the action as the troops themselves. There is FAR greater transparency than in 1991.
It is all staged now...they allow the media to see only what they want them to see.
Actually, this is incorrect. See above. The only way to prevent an embedded reporter from seeing whatever there is to see is for them to keep each and every military unit containing one away from whatever it is they don't want them to see.

Didn't your mother ever tell you that two wrongs don't make a right? Could you please provide some sources for this allegation, RELIABLE SOURCES?

kuwait and iraq had a border dispute and kuwait was drilling on iraqi land so thats why iraq invaded kuwait.

They won't show bloody corpses on tv because it isn't something ANYONE wants to see..........and they aren't covering up the fact that people in this war have died when they could have.
P.S.: Does Saddam ever show on tv the people he has murdered?

Yes, I've heard this but no one has provided any sources. Again, two wrongs don't make a right.

I've seen worse pictures of the last Gulf War.
I had friends that were there.
I am X military....and have lost a few buddies in Panama and the last Gulf War.
War is a brutal hell...which no one really wins.
I hope that this War is over soon...and that not many lives are taken during it.
My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of all that will parish.
War sucks!~
