Is it bad...
    #13977821 - 02/17/11 07:41 AM (12 years, 11 months ago)

That I have all of these bunched up air drying? :P

Another question:
I dried some of these previously & put in plastic bag.... (I know, not the best idea). The use-to-be myc on the bottom ends dried but then got fuzzy while in the plastic bag. Only a few did this.

The fuzzy old & dried myc, could this be bad? I can try to explain it better, if needed, but pics aren't good of this stuff with iPhone.

If they are in a pile they take significantly longer and might not dry fully and start to rot in the places where they touch.
Nothing wrong with putting them in a plastic bag once they are cracker dry. In fact it's what you should do.

Ahh, ok. I'll split them apart a bit.  Thanks.

So, the dry fuzzy ends where the white myc use to be wont hurt? It's kind of the same color as the blue/green from bruising in that area.

Ive never had them rot but i do stack piles like that to dry. After day one I mix them up and make sure they don't touch anymore.

The other bad part about drying them in a pile - they'll stick together in one big mass.  They're not fun to break apart without breaking the stems after that.

Absolutely nothing to worry about. It's just mycelium like the rest of the mushroom.
