Foil lids question, first time grower

hey guys, i just have a question about my culture jars. this is my first growing attempt and i need a little insight.
so i inoculated my first jars about 5 days ago. after inoculation, i placed tin foil over the jars and crumpled around the corners so as not to allow any contaminants into the jars. then i started reading on here that there needs to be gas exchange, and it is probably best to remove the foil from the jars. i have the tops on tightly with the inoculation holes left uncovered now.
since there was no gas exchange in the initial 4-5 days, will my jars still be able to colonize? should i do anything now to help them colonize, or just sit and wait? they are in a dark drawer in about mid-seventies temp. range now.
any help would be greatly appretiated. good vibes to all.

You've done all you can, it's up to the spores now. A dark drawer is ok, but a shelf in your room works too.
You are talking about pf jars? With a dry verm layer on top, under the inoculation holes?

If you made some BRF cakes, the verm barrier is here to prevent contaminants so no need to let the foil. At least if you're worry about it you can tape holes with micropore tape but really not needed. Dont worry because the foil stayed 5 days on your lids, it will be ok for the mycelium to grow.
If you made grain jars, so with no verm barrier at the top, i highly suggest you to use micropore tape on inoculation holes.
Edit : Sorry for double answer, Doc_T posted few seconds before my post !

Pint jars, hm? They go slow, and sometimes won't finish. Don't worry yet, just be aware.

Wide mouth half pints generally do the best. Other jars will sometimes work, and your pints may do just fine. I like the widemouths for agar too.
Edit- Ace Hardware has them or will get them in for you.

Thanks so much for the help Doc_T!! If you dont mind, can I ask you one more quick question? I was just inspecting the jars and there seems to be some slight condensation on the inside of a few of the jars. Nothing significant though. Is this going to cause problems, or a good thing, or neither??

Stop looking at the jars. Put them away for a week.
