I know there's a thousand of these but I'm new to monotubs and haven't had any real experience with contams.
monotub with 5qts of PF strain popcorn spawn, to 1 brick coir, 2 quarts verm, and 1 quart used coffee. this monotub is 6 days old. I took good precautions in my sterility but humans tend to error. basically I think (hope..) most of the developing myc is under the top layer of substrate, however there's this light fluffy growth i just noticed all over the top. looks like dust balls. not very cubensis-like. is this cobweb? should i hit it with some H2O2 just to be sure since there's no myc really colonizing the top yet?
monotub temp: avg 70 degrees F monotub rH: 90%-96% sub temp: avg 74 degrees F thanks for your time

edit: for the record I'm not talking about the bright white fluffy spots, that's popcorn. I'm talking about the haze over the rest of the sub.

Can you get a picture using bright sunlight? Step back, then zoom in.

looks dry from that pic
from my limited experience
u can spray a little part
if it bubbles and looks like it dissolves then its probably cobweb
ive had trays where i just sprayed the whole top just in case and it didnt seem to hurt anything

trust me it's not dry, it's just the light and the camera.
I sprayed it all down with h2o2 two days ago. it didn't really bubble or fiz or anything. i just saw droplets of h2o2 collect on the whispy stuff until i think i saturated it to the point where it just wasn't sticking up anymore? but it looked fine the other day no i see small little puffs of it coming back up. looks slightly grayish but I'm not sure. i think I'm going to let it go for a couple days just in case it's myc and I'm being paranoid..

how often are you opening your Mono? How did you layer your spawn/substrate ?

My mono has a plexi glass window so I rarely ever open it. I have 8 holes (4 per side, two top two bottom.) The top holes have poly fil and the bottom are taped shut. I put most of my substrate in the tub wth all my spawn and mixed with sterile spoon. Then added remaining sub over top

It's probably because you have your bottom holes taped up while the top holes are only stuffed with polyfill... while your tub is still colonizing you should have it in a dark place with all the holes taped up so there is no FAE, only GE... and don't open it until you're read to fruit in about 2 weeks. Then, you introduce to fruiting conditions: untape the holes, fan, mist, light.

i just use polyfill in all my holes and dont really have a problem
i use tinfoil with a bunch of holes as a lid
i used to mix the substrate and the spawn
ive had better results with layering after reading advice on shroomery
when i didnt layer i had problems with cobweb taking hold on the top layer
so now right underneath the top layer of substrate i put a pretty thick layer of spawn
