is it time to buy some high capacity magazines?

I'm 20 so I don't own a pistol yet but all this shit I keep hearing about banning high capacity mags because of the arizona shooting bullshit and how they're flying off the shelves and my hometown mayor talking about trying to ban them....
Any gun owners go out and grab them? Should I? Do I need to be 21 to buy it? If I get a friend to buy it is that against the law? It's just a magazine so I figure not but this is why I ask.

Never get a friend to buy you anything related to firearms.
You're over 18, you can buy a shotgun that's more powerful than my .45 colt.
In my state, If you're not insane or a have certain convictions, go to a gun store with $500, tell the nice man what kind of rifle you want, they do a 20 minute background check, you pay for it, and walk out of the store the same day with a new rifle.
Turn 21, do a 1 hour training course (which is a video), sign some papers, buy a handgun, wait 7 days, pick it up.

I know all that lol. I'm trying to get high capacity magazines though in case they get banned. I'll just have 2 magazines and no gun for a few months. I just dont want to wait, turn 21, and have the fuckers ban it.

oh, well, then you should buy 'em. I only have single action revolvers. I like the "white man" guns, sod all them police issue 9 millimeters and glocks and shit.
I also do competition shooting with cowboy action pistols, so even though the action is slower than an ACP, I'm willing to wager my 6 shots could bring a group of thugs down before they hit me once with their semi-automatics.

i don't see the point in high mags anyway, its just as easy to buy a spare clip or just fucking make one yourself that reaches down to the ground, i think its odd that they even try to ban then, but even odder is the craze over them

I thought that also, I just want them just in case. I was sitting here thinking though like... shit, I can probably buy 5 magazines and put them together and have a 50 round clip or something, that shit would look goofy as hell
Go to the gun range, look at everyone and just say "Mine's bigger."
I think I might be ordering me 2 of them asap though.
Also, what about in texas, that shit probably wont pass down there, we could just get people to buyem there and shipem here right?

And you don't want that... I don't know much about ACPs or Semi automatics, but on a revolver, if the timing isn't accurate and the bullet in the chamber isn't lined up with the barrel, it can blow up in your hand, I'm guessing the principle is the same with ACPs.

Learn how to shoot and you wont need that many bullets. If you think you live in an area where there is a high propensity for more than 6 people to be breaking into your house at once, I would invest some of that thought process of yours into manufacturing a high powered flame thrower instead.

it's not about that it's about me wanting to not have to reload after every 10 rounds. I'm not gonna bullshit ya, look whatLoughner did shooting 20 people with one clip killing 6. You think he would have gotten that kill count with a regular clip? The only difference is I'm a good guy and am not going to use it against anyone.

if people invade your land who the hell cares how bad they hurt when you kill them? I wouldn't, I'd be that guy after they're on fire screaming to not shoot and save your ammo.

yea sure but if I design something in my basement that can kill 5 million people and some convention tells me it's against the rules of war I probably wouldn't care.
I'm just saying, if it was "Ok I can use this "illegal" weapon or lose my life" I'd use the illegal weapon with complete disregard of the consequences just to stay alive that much longer. Even if I knew I was going to die anyway, I'd take as many people out/maim as many people as possible on my way out so they can go home to their family and be scarred for life.
aren't land mines against the rules too? I'd plant that shit all over my lawn.
