id think that even with a seatbelt, it would hurt a person quite a bit to flip their car more than 5 times...

and yeah man, if they wont give you better pain meds id go find that shit on the streets...morphine is an EXCELLENT pain killer and it lasts a lot longer than other opiates(except methadone or buprenorphine, but it kills pain better than those)..

if i was given 20 hydros i woulda sold em all regardless of the dose and got a real painkiller...that is rough.

Residual THC levels are a pain in the ass.
It's the primary reason I didn't fight my DUI in court.

lame did they screw u based on residual levels? the alcohol test was negative I know for sure, but I also know for sure that the marijuana results would come back positive and I let the cops know this for sure. apparently they are testing for the "levels" of thc in my system but I still think they are going to get skewed lab results b/c of just how much pot I do indeed smoke on a regular basis. if they can pinpoint how much was in my system during the crash tho I have a feeling I might get let off with just wreck-less driving, this is also something that the cops said to me. my suspicion though is that the cops just lied to me about this, and will not be able to pinpoint specific times and levels, meaning they are just going to throw a DUI blanket over the test regardless of if I was actually intoxicated at the time. they just needed some hard proof to substantiate the crime. meh :frown:

My blood test came back positive for THC. (And 0.07% BAC.)
So I said to my lawyer "Come on, that doesn't mean shit. I coulda smoked the day before the arrest."
They sent it to an independent lab, and I guess the levels were so high that my lawyer said they could prove I smoked the day I was driving.
(Within hours, they claimed.)

Plus even trying to fight this kind of thing in the conservative area where I was... it just wasn't worth it.
The risks involved with getting a DUI are too high!
SR-22 insurance, losing your license, stays on your record for 10 years, 2nd offense costs you a lot more, etc...

I decided to just take a (shitty) plea bargain (Wet Reckless, acts as DUI #1 in the case of future offenses)...
Rather than call their bluff and take them to court.
If I would've tried to take them to court, I might've gotten a better plea bargain. (Dry reckless-- removing the implications of alcohol involvement.)
I also might've gotten a long, drawn-out trial where I would've been found guilty of DUI.

Nowadays, just one drink if I'm driving.
I figure I never get over 0.01% with my tolerance.
(My alcohol tolerance is relatively high these days.)
It's fucked up that I have to do this IMHO, but...
C'est la vie.

:blah:

At least you're clear of a DUI.

I've been in a few bad accidents where I felt fine afterwards, but my body also didn't hit too much.  I've lost consciousness and got mildly burnt though along with a fractured thumb

Unfortunately, that's not how it works.  One drink gets your blood alcohol level to the same amount, no matter what your tolerance is like.  The size of your body and your liver function are the only two things that can affect your BAC based on an equal number of drinks.  If you're really large, you have more blood, and the alcohol is diluted, so you can drink more to have the BAC.

But for an average male, 1 drink gets you to .04.  Doesn't matter what your tolerance is.  All your tolerance changes is how .04 feels to you.

Edit: Oops, someone beat me to it.

No. No. It's just 7 years until the charge gets expunged from your record. It's 10 for a DUI, I believe.
