I'm attempting my first ayahuasca brew and had a few questions (there is a lot of conflicting info out there). I acquired some powdered b. caapi vine and dried p. viridis (chakruna) leaves. For my first brew I am adding just the caapi by itself, just to see what it feels like without the chakruna admixture (I want to ease into this).
I have 114 grams of the caapi, and I was going to use around half for my first brew (57g). Again, just the caapi for the first time. Since this is such a small amount, I'm wondering if anything I've read changes.
Questions:
1.) How much water should I use (I've read anywhere from 500ml to 2 litres)?
2.) Should I add vinegar even though it is just the caapi? (if so, how much?)
3.) Does the small amount I am brewing change the amount of time simmering or number of extractions? I am going by the 3x3 method (i.e. 9 hours of brewing in all with 3 extractions). Should I stay with that, or should it be less time?
Thanks.
