Me and my two roommates were down with the flu at the same time last week. Lasted for about 3 days, sucked ass, yadayadayada. Anyway, I've been completely back to normal for 4 or 5 days save for a waning, dry cough. My roommates have had pretty much the same rate of recovery, but now they are both complaining about feeling sick again with flu like symptoms. Could they have caught it again? I suppose they could have developed an infection. They are both cigarette/weed smokers. This worries me, because I can't afford to get sick again...I missed way to much work when I was sick.
Anyway, I surfed online and found some stuff, I was just seeing if anybody here has experience with this...should I quarantine my roommates and set fire to their things?

No that will just get you pissed off roommates.
Step it up with the hand washing/hand sanitizer and have them as well No sharing of bowls/joints/bongs/etc... Keep a little distance

It's impossible to keep any personal space here. 3 guys, 2 bedroom. Small 2 bedroom. I will catch whatever they have if its contagious.

I'm not going to really -recommend- this because it has the possibility to go wrong but if you don't wanna get sick...
1) get a saliva sample from room mate 2) suck up with syringe 3) microwave for 20 seconds to weaken bacteria/virus 4) wait till it cools, then shoot it into your ass
Kinda a home made vaccination of sorts

keep a sterile stock of garlic and eat as much of it as you can... coupling the antibiotic effects. the incredible garlic smell might give you a little bit of distance...

Well seriously then - Echninacea, in my experience the most powerful force against any sickness.

If you don't want to get sick, eat well, sleep well, and exercise. Proper vitamin D levels are also crucial. My roommates get sick all the time, and our house is quite dirty, but I never get sick.
There are a lot of things you can do to help your immunity (and overall health too). Do some research and get healthier. Living in that kind of space you can't avoid the germ contact, so fight them.
-------------------- "A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein

I do exercise, but not very much in the past two weeks because I still have this aggravating dry cough...gets worse when I exert myself. Usually exercise is my miracle cure for just about every ailment. It suuucks. I'm going back to do the doctor today to see if I have a burgeoning chest infection or something.
