mushie oppurtunity gone?
    #13973938 - 02/16/11 02:19 PM (13 years, 17 days ago)

How long will mushies continue to pop up after a rain?

After they pop up, how long does it take for them to die
or become not edible?

It rained five days ago and I'm just wonderin if it's too late to go hunting, or if I do go hunting if the mushies will be to old to eat.

24-48 hours after rain is probably the best time to go hunting.

Depends on what you're looking for. But you should wait at least a week after first rain to find anything.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
Hunting forum rule:

5. Do not make threads or posts discussing or reporting the weather.
This includes complaining about the weather, asking if the current weather is "good for shrooms", or how long to wait after rain fall to go hunting.
As a general rule of thumb, if it has rained within the last 1-10 days, and the temperatures are correct for the type of mushroom you're looking for, and the time of year is correct then it is very likely that the mushroom you are looking for is growing.
