bruising or mold...

You guys probably get this question a lot.. Anyways, butthead has two cakes in the terrarium.. Within a week he saw some kind of bluish green then the following week it turned to more greenish.. Lastnight he checked the terrarium after a few days of not looking and there are many pins showing around the sides and today they grew even longer. Is it possible that the bluish green spots are mold and can mushrooms still grow if there is mold on the cakes? One of the cakes has many pins growing from the bluish green spot thats why I'm wondering... Will the water do to the condinsation on the cover cause bruising if it dropped ontop of the cakes? Butthead also has three MAZ fully colinated and transfered them over to the terrarium this morning and he doesn't know if that was a good idea?

take a paper towel and gently rub the suspected spot.. if any color comes off on the towel then it is mold..

Ok... well i did what you said and no green color rubbed off... So i guess thats a good sign, but i'll wait to see what happeneds
