Letting jars play catch up.
    #13968810 - 02/15/11 04:44 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I have a certain number of jars that are completly colonized.  I did a G2G with one of them to another group of jars and there coming along nicely but they still have at least a week to go.  Can I put my already colonized batch into cooler temps to allow the others to catch up with them and to reduce the risk of a contamination due to the warmer temps where there colonizing.  I want to be able to spawn them at the same time.  I dont see how this would be any problem at all, its just that ive never had to do it and I just wondered if anyone has experience with this particular situation.  I know that something could still happen in the jars in a cooler temp but I know its not as likely to.

Thank you in advance.

I would just wait for the last ones to catch up and then put the whole lot into FC. No need to do anything with the temps. Another week will not hurt anything, if anything they will  be even more ready to fruit when the time comes.
