Mounting a supressor

My friend was looking for a good way to mount a suppressor (silencer) to his gun. Here is the gun:
http://picturearchive.auctionarms.com/2992221307/9520643/0105k1.jpg_thumbnail1.jpg
The piece on the end is a Flash suppressor.
He is looking for something that: + He can make himself + He can get on and off quickly + Will line up, and stay lined up, with the barrel - without needing a huge exit hole
The flash suppressor is square. Basically, he could drill into it, or make something that clamps around the outside. He was even thinking of making a 2 part system - with a mount that basically stays attached to the gun, and a suppressor that attaches to the mount.
The flash suppressor is over an inch long, so I'd think a good, 4 sided clamping mount could hold - just not real sure how to properly build one.
Any ideas / advice?

You would want the sound supresser before the flash supresser I would imagine, the easiest way would be to find a friend who is a fitter and turner and get him to cut thread into the end of the barrel for a screw on one, their pretty simple to make if you know the right people. Remember that you need subsonic ammunition to make a silencer work if the bullet leaves the gun at supersonic speeds it's still gonna crack silencer or not.

The sound suppressor would effectively be the flash suppressor too - might try to take off the flash suppressor and mount right to the barrel.
Going to try it with super and sub sonic ammo to see if the slower ammo is worth the reduced sound. Doesn't have to be 100% quite, just has to be quite enough to not piss off the neighbors / deafen the shooter.

Depending on the gun, silencers can be quite effective. I was amazed when I heard one. I always figured the movie style noises were just BS (think I read something to that effect), but this gun was so quite it sounded like a nail gun.

you'd remove the flash suppressor, thread the barrel and screw on the sound suppressor

you guys think it's worth the federal time and the loss of rights to not do shit the right way, it's $200 for the transfer of a legal sound spppressor and the price of the suppressor is well under the fines you'd be paying on violations of NFA laws

I sure as hell would own illegal firearms or accessories while being in possession of controlled substances as well. Best bet is to keep what's legal with you and what isn't elsewhere.
Edit:" and by would I mean would not.
