Beck appreciation thread!

He is one of my favorite current artists. I am surprised I don't hear more mention of him on this forum with how much I hear about Radiohead and the Flaming Lips, etc. His music is SO psychedelic. One of my favorite LSD albums of all time is Odelay. I also LOVE Mutations. One Foot In The Grave is also fantastic, but I never see it in stores or hear anyone mention it. Very raw stripped down folksy sound.
Any other Beck fans out there? If you haven't checked him out, you should.

Mellow gold is hands down the best Beck album, in my opinion I love Beck. He's definitely in my top 10 favorite artists.

Mellow gold used to be my fave, but it's a little heavy on the random noise songs for my preference these days. I love Loser though.

Same here, Mellowgold got me into Beck but over the years I have started to really get into his other stuff. Damn I just realized I have 15 of his albums.. I bet get busy.
Beck is a staple when camping, especially Mutations.
Rocking some Modern Guilt right now, nice and mellow.

that's pretty cool. Never heard that one before. Who is the woman singing? Is that on an album?

ohh yeah, beck is up there for one of my favorites musicians.. he's gotta little bit of something for every mood.
This song is pure gold..
@chrisman.. It's his record club where they take albums from classics and cover the whole album in a day with various musicians.. That's the feist girl heh, doing Skip Spence songs

yeah, I recently got mutations and am LOVING it. Just got Guero recently too. I like it a lot too, but I think I like mutations better. "Bottle of Blues", "Nobodys fault" "tropicalia" etc. So many awesome songs. I still haven't heard Modern Guilt or Sea Change.

Shit gets boring.
Hard to hate those who mix it up, even if half of the resulting lyrics are completely retarded.

Yeah mutations has to be my favorite, listening to some Sea Change right now. Very mellow and kick back, pretty damn good. Modern Guilt makes me think of the beetles though
