Hows it goin shroomery? Picked up an adderall script for super cheap yesterday so I'm sippin on some coffee and working on my jazz piano chops. Got a nice little bowl of dank for when the amp jitters start up.

wish I had some coffee. Just took a couple kpins. Working on Bio homework then got a 2 hour lab today, but it should be a pretty chill day. Oh labs are easy. Just sit there and bullshit for a couple hours.

Coffee's so cheap though! I get 2.5lb bags at Sam's Club for ~10 bucks and its pretty legit stuff. I think its their store brand stuff. I wouldn't drink coffee if my only options were Folgers and Starbucks.

WScott - Hell yeah he's got a Lennon influence. They're so hip, they're the band I've been waiting for IMO.. very excited to hear new stuff. Cool mix of modern and old electronics and elements of lots of popular classic rock stuff. If you like that track you gotta get the whole album, it really is awesome. I don't listen to much pop music and this ones been on my playlist for the better part of a year now.

Had the absolute worst dream of my life last night. I was breathing so heavily my GF woke up, and subsequently woke me up, upon which I jumped out of bed and lunged at the bedside, only to realize the intruder who was about to stifle my girflriend wasn't actually real, and that my sleep paralysis was actually occuring IN MY DREAM.
my BPM was well over 150. It was the single most horrifying moment of my life.
I dreamt I heard the front door of my apt being opened, and it woke me up from my sleep (remember, it woke me up IN MY DREAM) excep that i was suffering from sleep paralysis and couldn't get my gun! I tried to speak to my GF to get her to tap me so taht I could move again, but only gasps of air came out. I heard this fucker move through my apt, saw him come into my room, come up next to the bed, look down at us (I was trying to get my gf to nudge me this whole time). He heard me gasping, trying to talk to her, and then reached his arm out to put his hand over her mouth.
Thats the point in time that my GF woke me up, and i jumped out of bed, etc.
FUcking petrifying. I'm glad my gf made me put my gun a few paces away otherwise i would've woken up and grabbed it and started shooting.
singlemost petrifying moment ever. that is my worst nightmare -- i've alrways been petrified of "intruders" (the vague thought of it, throughout childhood), and more recently been petrified of anything happening to my girl, especially against her will. SO the combination of these two fears in one dream where i couldn't even move, was absolutely horrifying.

I'm taking biology as well. Took it last semester so this is part two. The exam are easy for me. I suck at labs, hardcore. I fucking hate them. We've been using microscopes and I must be retarded with them because I can't see shit, ever. And I can't ask for help because nobody else does. It's so shitty. We get to take apart a frog in a couple of weeks so that should be less annoying.

I know this is a weird question - but were you AWAKE but unable to move, or ASLEEP and unable to move? Because I was under the impression that sleep paralysis is when you are fully awak but can't move at all, but this was the exact same thing, in every detail, except that I was asleep (even though it was obscenely lifelike - moreso than a "dream" that i would normally have)

Don't want to get into a debate, but something like this would make me think about getting rid of the gun.
Or at least locking it where I can't get to it in a dream.
Waking up to find you shot the gf would really suck. In lots of different ways.

I used to keep it loaded and cocked about 5 paces from my bed on the top of my desk. Out of the way so that it wouldn't be encountered by anyone or somehow "accidently" foudn and shot (which i dont really believe in), but even that made my gf uncomfortable, so now the magazine and gun are both 5 paces away from me and from each other (think triangle) and require insertion/cocking/pulling.
I won't have the gun any farther away than that - otherwise there is no point in it.

I guess that's hard to say for certain. My understanding is the body is awake and the mind is still in REM mode, which is why you can't move your muscles but dreams bleed into your perception of reality. Freaky stuff for certain! Its interesting to hear from other people that experience stuff like this. It used to happen a lot - like multiple times a week - when I was on Remeron for chronic tension headaches. They give you some fucked up meds for that stuff.

That makes more sense. I always thought it was when your body was awake (you had been woken up, so you were conscious and not dreaming - in your brain) but your mind hadn't stopped producing the chemical that restricts your body while you sleep (so you dont sleepwalk), and therefore you, you can't move.
But your description (body is awake mind still in rem mode) so my dreaming seemed to be UNIQUELY REAL.

Today's the first day that I'm gonna be sober in a while 
I'm gonna try to be a lot healthier and get back in shape.
I also want to start meditating and focusing my mind a lot more.
I just realized this last trip that I'm tried of being in a haze, and I also have to piss clena for a drug test for a job in a few weeks, so they justify each other.

I use weed to combat nightmares associated with PSTD. It seems to be the only thing that works for me.
Its sad that they try to treat all the symptoms by pumping you full of 3-5 drugs that only help minimally and have horrid side effects.
A few weeks ago I stopped smoking for 12 days and got no sleep and felt extra stressed.
The funny thing is when I dropped dirty on a drug test for the VA (around 3 years ago) they took away my other meds and I just up'ed the weed dose and I haven't felt this good in years.
It would be nice to have a Valium around for those tough days but meh.
How did every ones V-D go? Made my lady a grommet meal and she got things from victory secrets sexy things

What do yall think of this track? Its the sax player from The Mars Volta's new group.. I think Omar is involved in the production but I don't remember if he plays any of the guitars.
I ask because I'm a sax player and I'm trying to come up with an at least semi marketable form of music that will allow me to play my axe of choice.. jazz is incredible but unfortunately there's not the ears for it that there once was.

The problems with a lot of Omar's stuff is that it is too in your face. People don't always want a clusterfuck of noise, I feel like they overuse that effect too much.
Look into nujazz. Lots of amazing saxophonists play in that genre.
