What tempature must i keep the room i am keeping my jars in be for mycelium to grow. I have read it must be 70 degrees f. mininmum, but i have been keeping the room at 68 degrees f. Is 2 degrees really going to make a difference?

It's not going to hurt it but the growth will be slow

Should be like 84-88 F.
It will take forever at 68.
Try and get an incubator set up or insulate them better ....

d00d

It will work, but prepare to wait for like a year.
Granny M  from upstairs had hers at, or just under 80F.  After over 2 months of waiting it finally dawned on her to raise the temp (around 85 or so) and the difference was amazing.
The linkie for the incubator that very nice person posted above seems like a great idea.  Granny M almost tried that, but then went the lazy way and got one of those cheep styrafoam coolers ($3-5) and stuck an aquarium heater in a jar of water in there.  Worked quite well.

I wish you much better luck than Granny M has had so far

If you have a chest of drawers, or a metal filing cabinet? A heat pad on the level below, with jars in the level above works great. Even a cardboard box, a spacer (so they are not in direct contact) & heat pad under that, in a closet will work fine.

You get quicker colonization if you can keep the jars around a steady 80 & 84 F.
